In September this year, Phnom Penh, Cambodia’s largest capital city, will host its first ever BarCamp, a user generated conference. Computer enthusiasts, technologists, IT professionals, geeks, nerds, bloggers, web developers, Internet users, and people who think that technology can empower their personal and professional life, will gather at Cambodia-Japan Cooperation Center (CJCC) to talk about all things technology. BarCamp Phnom Penh will take place September 20, 2008; the day-long event hopes to inspire IT community in Cambodia.

BarCamp Phnom Penh: Announcing registration

We’re delighted to announce that BarCamp Phnom Penh, a day-long gathering for computer enthusiasts, is open now for registration.

When: September 20, 2008. From 9:00am - 5:00pm.

According to Wikipedia, BarCamp is an international network of user generated conferences — open, participatory workshop-events, whose content is provided by participants — often focusing on early-stage web applications, and related open source technologies, social protocols, and open data formats.
