The other day I came across a piece of review about dSLR (digital single-lens reflex) camera Nikon D90 on digitaljournalist.org. What drew my attention most is it’s not really about the new digital camera, its new feature to capture video for your favorite YouTube show, but, in the last paragraph of the post, the writer points out the importance of photojournalism.
Let’s take a look at this:
And that’s the scary part about innovation – that something born of creativity and inspiration becomes ubiquitous enough, that over time, we forget what the original goal was – to fly like a bird. As for photojournalism, it’s not the tool that matters most. It’s our heart, mind and soul. It’s not even about photography. It’s about powerful storytelling for the purpose of making a difference in our world.
How many a people would tell you that a photograph of an object or people in action is not good enough to be displayed on the Web?
There are times when a drawing artist or a painter produces some work that give his/her audiences some time to think, not to conclude.
