Dear Tharum,

I'm very pleased to know this website from which I can learn more about you and your beautiful country. I'm a Vietnamese living in Germany and the article from DIE ZEIT did bring me to you.

I only knew wonderful Cambodian friends from my lifetime in Hanoi where some students were studying there, from time to time.

Keep doing your good job, dear Tharum!

Best wishes from Cuong, Germany.

Hi Tharum,

as everyone else I found your blog through the article in "Die Zeit". Keep up the good work!

We have visited your country three years ago. Since we were on an organized tour we mainly got to see the usual sites: Phnom Penh, Angkor and Tonle Sap Lake. It was a wonderful and impressive experience and I want to encourage everyone thinking of a trip to Cambodia. It's really worth a visit.

Greetings from Germany

Dear Tharum,

being forced to lie in bed after having my appendix removed, I finally found time to read the above mentioned article and to visit your blog. You do a great and very important job! I believe I am qualified to say that since I stayed for a couple of months in Phnom Penh last year working for a German NGO.

I am convinced that you and people who will follow your example can have a tremendous impact on Cambodia´s further devopment. So keep on doing what you´re doing. Thomas

PS: I wish you a belated happy birthday!

Dear Tharum,

still a few hours time ...

... but: all the best and may there always be work for your hands to do. Have a wonderful birthday and may all your wishes come true.

Hi!

As most people, I stumbled upon your website through the newspaper article in Die Zeit.

For me, finding this article was like a "sign". A week before, while flying with Air Canada from Toronto to Frankfurt, I read in the onboard magazine EnRoute
<a href="http://www.enroutemag.com/e/cbclitawards2006/i_witness_a.html" rel="nofollow">these short stories</a> about Cambodia and Pol Pot's regime.

This, combined with your story, website, the Zeit article and my willing to offer my help in a developing country might lead to something ... who knows.

take care,

Ralf

tharum,

did you see Jinja's post on this matter?

http://jinja.apsara.org/blog/

Did you try the translation tool he links to? I read some paragraphs and thought it is big fun, adding a whole new dimension to the article.
