New Cambodian Generation Shaping the Nation

Milestones of Cambodian Youngsters
My heroe is someone who comes from difficult condition and takes on challenges to reach his or her destination. No one is invincible, but to be able to recover from a disastrous period is great.

In his early 20, Sothea has done such amazing jobs in his life. As a quick English language learner, he first became a teacher of English while he was learning. He later worked as a translator for Pyramid Co., Ltd., the largest translation company in Cambodia, a translator-cum-assistant to Editor-in-Chief of the Editorial Team of the Khmer-language web portal, www.everyday.com.kh, and an Election Information Adviser. Now he is a a staff member of The Asia Foundation. “He always spent the rest of his day staying at home and sitting at the desk with English books and dictionaries.”

And two colleges graduated student Somongkol, young and mature, is now a lecturer of English at Institute of Foreign Language. Last August, Karen Johnson, a Cambodia Daily reporter interviewed him, which featured in ‘English Proficiency Exam to be Taken Online‘ article.
