It Complements One to Another

Tuesday, July 27th, 2004

English is almost everything in this globalization era. But, please beware that Khmer language is our mother tongue. It is very important to learn our language as a basic well. It is always better to have as trong foundation of our own before heading further. Young generation of Cambodia are poor at our language. This is partly blamed to to education today.

And also, soon we will be able to write and read Khmer on any computersystems without any problems. Recently there is a project launched, KhmerOS Initiative (http://www.khmeros.info/). Hope we will have our own operating system, office and other useful applications. So, there will be a difference. All Cambodians sitting infront of monitor, reading news, or do whatever they wish. “There is Information, There is Opportunity of Changes.”

Cambodia a tourist’s nightmare(?)

Thursday, July 22nd, 2004

Walking around and watching all the action, it’s hard to believe that Cambodia has a reputation as one of the world’s most dangerous travel destinations.

It is astonished and dissapointed to read a view from this lady
columnist. All bad things in Cambodia are described in her article,
from genocide to social security, to political stalement and a lot
more. No sentence about a glorious history or friendly people of Cambodia was found.

It is not fair if it were just that two teenagers tried to mug her and
the story written. And I do not expect it is a way to attract readers. Please be aware that Cambodia relies greatly on tourism.
